Beach Wedding Dresses are really becoming more and more popular these days.

Many brides choose to buck the traditional church wedding idea and opt for their special day to be on the sand or on a yacht.

Beach wedding gowns are much more casual than the traditional styles and they can really set the mood for a perfect beach theme.

I love the beach and to me, a beach wedding is just the most romantic kind of wedding of them all!

And if you're planning a second marriage or even renewing your vows, the beach is the most romantic venue of all!

You've got the crashing sound of the ocean, the warm summer breeze, the breathtaking sunset and of course the soft sand beneath your feet.

----What's not to love about that?

You'll probably decide on a short or casual style dress (take a look below for some more inspiration), but you should probably keep a few handy tips in mind before making your final choice.

Tips on Choosing a Great Beach Wedding Dress:

• It's always a good idea to start by figuring out which gown shape looks best on you.

Make sure you choose a flattering style first and foremost. The best way to do this is to just try them on...

and don't be shy, try on as many as you can.

• You may want to consider either a shorter veil style or a tiara instead.

Remember that you'll be dealing with a few elements that are not controllable....that wonderful gentle breeze might turn into a heavy gust of wind enough to blow your veil all over the place.

• You might want to opt for no train or some type of carpeted runway down your aisle to protect your train if you have one.

While a train, both long or short, is certainly no problem in the church, it's quite a good little sand collector out there on the beach.

• The fabric should also be more lightweight and non restrictive.
Although you can choose whatever you want, informal beach wedding gowns are usually strapless, or have a halter neckline or spaghetti straps to give them the more informal wedding dress look and of course to keep you cool.

I love the simpleness of this Silky Crepe Dress with a satin bodice. It's casual and the light fabric flows great with movement. The shape really flatters any body type and the beading on the bodice is subtle.
Perfect for a beach wedding!






The v-neck line is very flattering in this beach wedding dress. The flower wreath as a hair piece is a cool idea---it really gives it a complete beach look.

But I think a tiara or short veil would work well too. I like the unique hemline on this one.

The front is short but the back is long so it has a type of train that won't get caught up in all that sand and surf.

I like it because it's romantic and dreamy, and simple but not too casual.

A great choice for an outdoor wedding due to the lightweight fabric and no train.
