I’ve been very happily married for almost 13 years now and I remember planning for my wedding day. It was thrilling, exciting and... a little nerve wracking.

There were thousands of important decisions to be made but the biggest decision I felt I had to make was my bridal gown.

I remember trying on hundreds of wedding dresses with my mom and sisters in tow until the sales lady really got sick of me! But it was important to me to find the right one.

This was THE most important day of my life!

So of course I got the dress of my dreams but the money spent really ate up a huge chunk of my wedding budget.

Flash forward to now...

Just about anything that you have at home that says ‘Made in China’ is more than likely made right here in Guangzhou where I live.

About a year ago, a friend came here to visit and she had just gotten engaged. So half heartedly we decided to check out a few local shops located right down the road that sell western style wedding dresses... We could not believe what we found!

The huge selection, the quality of material, the quality of craftsmanship but most of all... the price!

My jaw fell to the floor. Are you kidding? We found the same dresses that you find in bridal shops in the US for a mere fraction of the price. I was amazed and of course my newly engaged friend was thrilled beyond belief!

Later I had another friend who heard my story and wanted to ‘try out’ buying a wedding dress from China too.

I was able to help her get a dress custom made right here in China!

(However, it took a while to find this awesome wedding dress factory. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Wanna know more?....)

It was made specifically according to her measurements and fabric choices and fits her perfectly. She was absolutely thrilled! So was I.

Then I realized that helping these young brides save money on their wedding gowns was quite fun and exciting for me!

Next, I decided to do some snooping around about the bridal industry. I discovered that most bridal boutiques buy their dresses right here in China—yes, the exact same dresses that I can buy here right down the street-- and then they mark them up on average about 300-500% and sell them to you!

Wow! I don’t know about you, but I just think that’s craziness!

And we never think twice about spending so much money on a dress because it just seems normal... it’s what we’ve always done for years.

BUT, if there were a way to buy that same dress directly from China, I think many brides would.

So that’s when I decided to create this website all about Affordable Bridal Gowns and help brides just like you, save money where it matters.

And let me tell you I’ve been having an absolute ball!

I’ve actually developed a great connection with one of the best wedding dress factories here in Guangzhou, a small mom and pop shop that really pays attention to quality and detail.

(How did I find them? Lots of trial and error. Don't make the same mistakes I did!)
