The 3 Tier Veil

A 3 tier veil is the way to go if you want a full look with a traditional blusher.

The blusher is the 3rd tier of the veil which covers your face as you walk down the aisle. Your groom lifts it up when he kisses you--how romantic!

Viels with 2 tiers can also have blushers - which would be the shorter layer - however veils with 3 tiers are more dramatic and have a fuller look with more body.

If you're planning on a simpler hairstyle, 3 tier veils are a good choice because they will not reveal your hairstyle as much as a simpler 1 or 2 tier veil or short bridal veil would.

You may even opt for a detachable 3 tiered veil which would allow you to remove each tier as you go through your wedding ceremony. Quite a nice idea for adding a little flair.

Any longer than that and it can become cumbersome and get in the way.

To choose a 3 tiered veil, consider the fullness. The fullness will determine the number of folds across the veil.

The wider the veil, the more folds your veil will have and the more full or 'boufant' it will appear on your head.

1. Sheer fullness:

Cut with a width of 54" or less.
2. Standard/Medium fullness:

Cut with a width of 72".
3. Extra/ Full fullness:

Cut with a width of 108".
